ODBCFace is Incredible

Below is a real live quote from our accounting manager in Houston that probably sums up our satisfaction with ODBCFace.

ODBCFace is incredible!

Since the installation, I have thoroughly used it and am very pleased. I estimate that we save at least 20 minutes a day just on the upload of our daily banking. That's 100 minutes a week, 5,200 minutes a year.

The really neat thing was when we reviewed and cleaned up received not vouchered, we un-received hundreds of little POs. Rather than flood the p&l with all these little credits for old closed jobs, etc., I used a query with the specific columns that ODBCFace requires, called up the purchasing batch that relieved the old RNV, reversed the sign and pointed the credit to wherever we wanted for use at our discretion. ODBCFace successfully handled something like 1000 lines of journal without a hitch. Very slick.

I can't say enough about how much time this will save going forward. Next step where we'll see the most time savings will be when we get Cindy up and running for use with all the monthly insurance and benefit entries.

Regards, Alex

It just keeps on going and going

We implemented ODBCFace 1.0 back in 1999 and its still going strong.

We have custom ODBCFace job cost forecasts that download data from the F0911 / F0902 (JDE / AS400) and organizes it in such a way that the project managers can upload their forecast changes to the JD Edwards F0911Z1 file with ease.

JDE did not have a friendly solution to handle the industry specific concept of union stamps in the payroll system.  We were able to solve this with ODBCFace without writing a single line of RPG code.

ODBCFace beats anything I've seen

ODBCFace beats anything I've seen with regard to exchanging data between the AS/400 and PC-based Excel spreadsheet files.

It handles the issues of field lengths and packed fields more graciously than any product I'm aware of and has allowed us to download data to the users, and then upload similar user data with great ease.

I can't wait to install the new version as I think it will make the best tool even better.
